OUR PARTERS

LONG ISLAND IS HOME TO AN AMAZING LOCAL FOOD SCENE. WE PARTNER WITH LOCAL BUSINESSES ON MANY OF OUR SPECIALTY FLAVORS.

BLUE POINT BREWING COMPANY

It's great to be down the road from such a great brewery! We use Blue Points Heavier Things (a limited release Double Oatmeal Milk Stout) in our Oatmeal Stout Brownie Bites. It gives the brownies a smooth texture and a rich stout taste.

Just one sip of Blue Point beer and you’ll find yourself at the boatyard hanging with friends, brewers, and a few seagulls. That’s because after years of brewing (but mostly drinking - don’t let our brewers tell you otherwise), Blue Point knows it takes a hometown brew to live up to New York standards.

AMAGANSETT SEA SALT CO.

We use Amagansett Sea Salt in our Sea Salt Brownie Bites. The taste of real, locally made sea salt is unparalleled!

Amagansett Sea Salt is premium, unrefined finishing salt, crafted entirely by hand in small batches from the Atlantic Ocean. Our traditional open-air process is entirely natural, requiring only the sea, sun, wind, and patience. We do not boil or oven-dry seawater. We do not trap the process in a greenhouse or a factory building. We use no chemicals or anti-caking agents. By carefully balancing solar evaporation and exposure to the crisp, clean ocean breezes, seawater slowly forms into white salt crystals having a mild, briny yet sweet flavor and a soft distinctive crunch. Our hand-cultivated American-made salt is a moderately coarse sea salt, best described as a cross between "sel gris" and "traditional" salt. It is valued for its briny taste of the Northeast and the Atlantic, for its pleasingly distinct texture (not too hard and not too soft), and for its beautiful grain shape, size, and color.

TEND COFFEE

We use locally roasted, organic espresso from Tend Coffee in our Espresso Brownie Bites. Tend grinds their Pull Espresso extra fine for us and we bake it right into the brownies.

In 2011, Tend Coffee started roasting certified organic coffee on Long Island, NY. The very meaning of Tend (v) is to look after, to care for. There are so many steps in the growing, harvesting and handling of great coffee. Our name conveys our commitment to doing our part with some of the rarest coffee on the planet; Certified Organic 100% Arabica Specialty Coffee. The FAO division of the United Nations stated: "Organic coffee is estimated to account for about 3 percent of the North American coffee market in volume...". That includes all coffee not just the prized Arabica varietals that we use. If you take that into account it would be more like 2% of all coffee produced.
